This update is actually amazing. This is going to make jumping into pvp super easy. Coromon will now scale potential wise for level 50 battles, meaning that a standard will be able to contend with the potent/perfects. Skill Flashes are also now unlimited use, which is a massive addition too!

  1. I only just beat 2 bosses and there are so many changes I like.

The lack of infinite skill flashes confused me because it took pokemon so long to do it and it was wildly appreciated when it happened.

Of course pokemon has PP so it could be implemented fairly but I'm sure there are many ways they could balance it with their stamina system if they wanted to.

  2. The infinite Skill Flashes thing is such a lifesaver. I’ve built up quite the collection of Skill Flashes and haven’t used a single one because I’m afraid of losing access to them, but this will be a game changer

  3. Ultimately, though, one question I ALWAYS ask about competitive games is: Will I be able to use monsters I like and still be able to do well? I'n the vast majorite of games I've played, this answer is no. I have to use my LEAST favorite characters if I'm desperate to win: which basically leads to an impasse: Use your favorites, lose, and not have fun or use your LEAST favorites, win, yet STILL not have fun.

(The monsters I tend to like are generally the bigger, bulkier more imposing guys, with my leeast favorites being the really skinny monsters.)

  4. Damn, pretty much all the annoying wishlist changes happened. Very nice. Now just speed up EXP/Coromon after knocking out opponents. Using EXP sharing items is arguably NOT worth it all the time to waste the time clicking through the text, and only worth it to keep up 1 of them in a disadvantaged area, or level a Coromon from much lower late game.

Also, while I haven't leveled up all Coromon by any means, it seems there is a lack of options/reactions for PvP. No switch-out moves or field hazards to my knowledge, switching in doesn't proc abilities until the start of the next turn, so you can't switch in Menacing, Humidifier, etc, and lower the opponents attack/change the field before they hit you. So not only are there no type type-immunities, but you can't even react to try and buffer the damage like this. Big oof for a competitive environment. They have the skill flashes and pretty much all of 50+ level options for unlocking more PvP specific moves, but new moves mostly just end right around level 50. There's potential for use here, not sure if they planned on waiting to add such stuff to see if the game was popular enough for it all.

  5. This isn't my favorite monster taming game, but these devs are definitely working hard and listening to the fans. All I can say is I hope this continues to be the case and this game will easily be one of the best monster taming games in the future!

  6. I made these suggestions months ago, but majority of the community disagreed with me. Now after the game is out they realize these changes are necessary. So I blame the community a little bit for these changes not being in the game at launch.

  7. There's a couple of NPC's that mention a massive Skuldra in the desert area does anyone know if that's related to a quest or is it just there? I don't want to take it out without knowing if its relevant to anything that's all.

  8. This is huge.
My main problem with the PVP was the absurdity of the time required.
With how much QoL sword and shield added, making something this horrid made no sense.

Wondering if they’re fixing this game as much as they can before the switch release at this point 😮
