  1. Great vid, Ed! Agreed. They definitely need a good post game. Other mon games like nexomon have it. Pokemon gets shit for having poor post games. Rightfully so imo. Coromon doesn't have to have a post game, but if it doesn't I'll be docking it a hefty amount of points on my own personal rating of the game.

  2. I think a lot of coromon could use a moveset update for the campaign also. In particular, lunarpup was almost impossible to use for like… the first 10 levels after you catch it due to having an awful attack stat and no special moves, and voodoo didn't even help that much. On the flipside, Humvee was an absolute beast at the start of the game but fell off harder than any of my other team members since it's strongest move ended up being the 90BP transendance ; which while strong could only be used every other turn and made it really frustrating to use alongside my other team members that had learned 90BP and above moves that could also be super effective and could be used every turn.

  3. Points 1 and 3 can be implemented in the current game and would really love them to do that. Point 2 can be a spin off that can connect or read your save data form the main game so you use your monsters in it. For point 4 I’m all for it and you can implement it in different ways like how in Nexomon 3 JV wants to try an affinity system for the monsters to allow them having multiple types

  4. Agree 100% on the skill flashes. I am 14 hours in and I haven't used a single one because I want to save them for mon that can make full use of them. I probably won't see such mon while I am done and might be even know it until even later.

I'd also like it if you could view what traits do from the database. As it is now, the only way to know what a trait does is to already have it on a coromon on your team and view it from their summary. This also means you have to memorize what that trait does for later.

  5. I want Potent 17,18,19,20 turned into Perfect to look different compared to a Perfect 21 caught in the wild. Just a small difference in summary or so or an NPC in the game that checks your Coromon and tells you the history of a Coromon

  6. they really need to implement a coromon-trade feature! (like gts in pokemon) i don't know what to do with all my potent 17-19. i have 2 potent 20 slitherpins and one perfect. i just need a perfect/potent 20 frova D:

  7. Man I'm so sad that I can't even imagine to play this amazing game because it is too expensive on steam coming at 400 rupees (5 dollars) and also if you just want to buy games you need online banking and it is difficult to set up online banking as a kid

  8. I would like TMs to not only be unlimited use but that you could see the moves stats BEFORE putting it on your coromon.

I also want the ability to turn off battle animations and weather animations. Weather makes grinding abit to long.

    A Garden for fruits.

The ability to click abilities in the Database to get info on them.

    Refightable trainers before end game.

  9. Thank you for saying the dual types 🙏

I’d also want: making the type chart more interactive. That means more super effective abd not very effective interactions. As it stands, literally like 70% of the matchups it feels my coromon will just do neutral damage with its stab moves which means 70% of the time the type chart is irrelevant to the battle

  10. Honestly, while this game is amazing, I feel like there's even more obvious problems with Coromon (this is a rather long critique, and by no mean am I saying the game is bad or not fun even if I'm saying a lot of negative things)

    – There is literally no water themed city, unlike every other type in the game. Since every type has their special spinners and you can only purchase them from their themed city, you can easily see that there is no splash spinners available to purchase. Not only those but some others you get as well (Dream, Heal and Trick spinners). Not only that, but there isn't even a water type Titan. And no, the last one doesn't count, it's Dark Magic type. You don't even obtain its essence afterwards in your inventory, meaning that you haven't got its approval yet.

    – There's a lack of physical/special moves on certain types. Cut, Heavy, Normal and Foul are all purely physical; they don't have a single move that is special. Air and Magic are both only special. I'm sure there is a reason for those (not enough Coromon to make those types both special and physical, the coromons that have those types don't mind it, etc.), but kinda sucks not gonna lie

    – The only late game thing to do is PvP/Perfect hunting, and perhaps revisiting some areas with the scan. There is no plot after the last Titan, and it feels like there's no point in playing after that. Sure the battle tower is an idea, but maybe getting to the center of the world where all essences are and beat each Titan one after another, or even battle against a fusion of them all could be interesting.

    – In your video, you mentioned that Skill Flashes should be permanent rather than buying them, and personally I wouldn't want that. I think the game needs Flashes to be bought rather than be infinite, because the balancing of the game (especially on Insane mode or Hard mode) needs to be difficult for the player. Having limited resources before finishing the game should be kept as an element of difficulty.

-This leads into what I think is the real problem : money. There is no VS Seeker to farm some gold against other trainers, and going against the devs to gain money with money stealing coromon just feels strange. Gems are unbelievably slow, and selling fruits isn't really giving a lot of money. There needs to be a way to get money faster, or lower the prices of things to make up for it. Having more money should also mean that there should be more to actually buy (Cosmetics, Held Items, Coromons, Unique Scents, etc.)

    – The Held items are really lacking, especially for competitive. You have 3 orbs regarding weather (doesn't have orbs for Heatwave or Sandstorm), 2 Revitalisers and 2 Energiser Gem for battling. Of course, there are fruits with very specific effects (some acts like gems in Pokémon, one is a Focus Sash, and some more stat/hp/sp boosting when low), but overall there's not enough items in my opinion to truly make difficult choices regarding team building.

While Coromon 2 is a possibility (maybe even confirmed, I don't know), I think having a DLC for this game could be good, especially on the late game void. After playing 2-3 playthroughs already of this game, I can say that even with all the flaws, this game is worth it. I'll support the devs whether they want to make Coromon 2, or continue developing Coromon. The devs have been very receptive of the criticism from the community, so my expectations are high.

I think you pointed to a lot of problems this game has, and I agree with nearly all additions you want. Thanks for pushing the game even more on the spotlight, cause this game deserves it, and there is no denying that you have a HUGE impact on the visibility this game had from prior the launch.

Keep up the good work, and I hope that if you keep liking the game enough to follow the competitive scene (if it'll exist), then maybe we could see a glimpse of you casting tournaments (?). Would be cool XDDD

  11. One thing I think would be nice would be for a way to (player-side only, opponents would see the actual coloration) give Perfect or Potent Coromon a way to look like a lesser rarity. That level of choice would be awesome since some of the best shinies in the game are Potent, at least for me. I also agree with your point on Skill Flashes, I don't use mine because of worries that I won't get the most out of them when they're such a limited resource. Even a post-game way to get them again would be enough.

And I agree that one of my complaints in the game is that it's going to be hard to get into the competitive scene specifically because of how much grinding it will take to get Perfects. Everyone is going to optimize, that's just the nature of competitive. It would be nice if there was either a way to make Perfects (especially if it was at the end of an awesome post-game quest) or something like that.

Oh, and don't forget an in-game way to see when you're fruits are done growing without having to go there directly! Maybe on the teleport screen, with a label that indicates if none, some, or all fruits are done growing.

  12. Yeah I have the same problems with skill flashes :/ If the devs want to maintain the game as hard as it is then why dont they just implement a NPC at the end of the game that gives u all skill flashes for unlimited use. Then you could experiment around with movesets way more and thus making PvP way more appealing

  13. I think its better to make an equivalent to skill flash that is reusable like hms from pokemon. The name power flash would be awesome
(I suggested this on the discord)

  14. I played through the whole game in about 40 hours and didn't use a single skill flash, maybe I was saving them for some kind of late game challenge that never came.
Really hope the devs keep adding new features and content over time (new Coromon, new areas, free "DLC" type stuff)
I think it's a great game, better than Pokemon in some respects.

  15. >1.5x/2x/3x Battle Speed. Or a toggle move animation option.

    >Show requirements for Skill Flashes in the tooltip. Instead of just a "Your Coromon can't learn this skill" pop up

    >Ranked PVP with semi-Randomized deck would be interesting to explore. "Out of three randomized cards pick one", alternate until each player has a full team(Similar to building a deck in Heartstone). Coromon could be auto maxed level with auto balanced stats or maybe the stats could be generalized presets "Tank, All Around, Striker, Mage, etc.." (With Tank having less sp attack/higher def stats, Mage less Def/ more sp attack etc..)

    >For normal Ranked, allow a Coromon picking phase. Where You flip a coin to see who picks first, then you alternate picks till each team is full. Maybe even allow for bans pregame. Similar to League of Legends Ranked.
