Coromon : Hunting for Perfection – Chapter 1 : Tools of the Trade – Perfect Coromon Guide & Gameplay

This special series will showcase and demonstrate the experience of hunting for perfect Coromon using the method illustrated down below.

The objective is to get a sample amount of how many perfect or potential 20 Coromon can potentially be found by applying this method for each Potent Scent when used and before it expires.

The series will cover 8 locations. These 8 locations have been chosen for their greater variety of Coromon and the relative ease in catching them.

STEP 1 – THE TEAM
-Coromon 1:
With “Escapist” Trait to speed up search.
Equipped with “Fear Disk” to facilitate defeat and catch.

Known Coromon with “Escapist”:
Silquill + Evolutions
Moffel + Evolutions
Any other ?

-Coromon 2:
Must have skill “Tactical Slam” to set wild Coromon at 1 HP.
(It can either be learned via leveling or taught via Skill Flash n.3)
High level, high attack to speed up defeat of wild Coromon.
High level defense, special defense, and health to endure fights.

NOTE: Coromon trait “Static Body” would be ideal to improve the catching chances.
NOTE: Ensure that the Coromon’s trait is not “Spiked Body”.
NOTE: If you are using Armado(or evolutions) you can maximize the efficiency of the hunting experience by having Armado have the trait “Hoarder” to gather items through the hunt.

STEP 2 – THE EQUIPEMENT
Plenty of Spinners for Coromon catching
Plenty of HP Cakes for recovery after fights
Plenty of Lux Recalls for quick navigation

STEP 3 – POTENT SCENT
“Potent Scent”s can be found around and throughout the game, however they can only be made at Soggy Swamp, from Aspho by the cabin near the boat.
10 in total can be found throughout the game( ? ) .

Ingredients:
3 x Ber Fruit
3 x Cham Fruit
10 x Sweetshroom(Orange)
15 x Zenshroom(Blue)
15 x Fungus(Purple)

“Ber Fruit” and “Cham Fruit” can be first and easily acquired at the Fruit Market Stall, located South-East in Darudic, from Abdul. Prices:
$ 1401 x 1 Ber Fruit (Prices Lowered after visit with the engineer, second floor of Campus Med Center)
$ 1170 x 1 Cham Fruit(Prices Lowered after visit with the engineer, second floor of Campus Med Center)

Locations of Pots where to plant and harvest fruit to minimize cost of fruits acquisition, and closest to Lux Recalls:
– Hayville :
2 Pots inside House by Cabbage/Pumpkin/Corn/Wheat Crops
2 Pots outside and 1 Pot inside of the last house East
– Donar Island :
1 Pot inside first house North by the corner, where Julian the Hacker lives.
2 Pots inside house next to Julian the Hacker.
– Pawbury
2 Pots outside, on the right of the Shop, inside a hedge.
1 Pot inside the Manor, North of town, floor 1, on the right by the central stairs up.
– Darudic :
2 Pot outside by the well, South of the Med Center.
1 Pot outside of house North-Est of Med Center, by a palm tree.
2 Pots by the Slitherpin Ranch, close to Abdul the Fruit Seller.
– Vlamma :
2 Pots outside and 3 Pots inside of the Miners Lodges, North-East of Med Centre
2 Pots inside house North-West of Med Center, house of Pele.
– Alavi :
2 Pots inside house East of Med Centre, home of Gunnar Gunnarsson
1 Pot inside first house across bridge, East, home of the tailor.
2 Pots outside great house across the bridge, North, by the flowers inside a hedge.

All mushrooms can only be found throughout and around Soggy Swamp.
The best location for mushroom picking is a set of islands situated West of the cabin by the boat. When by the boat, surf over the water and travel West until you encounter the islands, free from obstacles and spawn areas.

Ensure to have plenty of ingredients when buying Potent Scents so to make more at once as there is not Lux Recall to facilitate travel to Soggy Swamp, and save time.

STEP 4 – THE PROCESS
1. Acquire Potent Scent
2. Set up team and equipment.
3. Set yourself close to grass/spawn area, and use Potent Scent.
4. Save right afterwards.
5. Run throughout Spawn Area until you find Potent or Perfect Coromon.
Catch it with Tactical Slam.

6. If coromon is only Potent, use Potential Reader to check if potential value is 20 once caught.
If YES, it can be raised up to 21/Perfect by using the Potentinflator on the second floor of Donar Island med center, at the cost of $ 500.

7. Save game right after each catch. Then, continue searching the spawn area for more Potent20/Perfect coromon until Potent Scent expires.
8. Each time no Potent20/Perfect coromon is found by the time Potent Scent expires, simply reload last save and repeat search for as long as desired.

NOTE : Hunting for Perfect Coromon, beyond being a relatively laborious and lengthy process, can also be financially expensive. Cash will be required to buy the equipment.
Selling gems, scents and fruits can be a good source of income to fund hunting.
